While Apple has not officially announced a Sprint iPhone, there are some factors that suggest it is possible. Sprint is a CDMA network, so Apple would not need to make any hardware changes to the Verizon iPhone to make it work on Sprint’s network. However, Sprint’s next-generation network is WiMax, while Verizon’s is LTE. This could mean that Apple would need to wait for a chip that can support both LTE and WiMax before releasing a Sprint iPhone.
