Google Wallet won’t be on Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus

Google Wallet is the NFC technology that is looking to revolutionize the way we pay for things. We know it will be available on the Nexus S and was front and center on the features list for the Galaxy Nexus, but now comes news that Verizon has asked Google to not include Google Wallet on the upcoming release of the Galxy Nexus.

According to the report in Reuters, the move seems to be prompted by Verizon’s joint venture with both T-Mobile and AT&T called Isis (for a refresher click here). As of this writing we’ve reached out to Verizon for confirmation if Google Wallet is in fact a “blocked” app or if it simply won’t be pre-installed onto the device.
