You know what, RIM takes a lot of crap from all of us here at The Noisecast (and for good reason might I add), whether it’s their apparent lack of leadership, lack in the design department, systemic failures, or just simply not knowing what they are selling. Though this will not be an apology to the folks at RIM, it is however, a showcase of brilliant design for a brand in desperate need of a face lift.
The Porsche Design P’9981 has been the first BlackBerry that I’ve honestly said, “wow, that looks sexy.” It’s a stainless steel framed, leather wrapped, that oozes appeal. Hell, I’m still not convinced it’s a BlackBerry. The outed BlackBerry was seen in spy shots earlier in the year but now rumors can be put to rest and fans can rejoice as the P’9981 has been made official.
Now for the bad news; the P’9981 will be a very limited edition phone and will set you back some $2000. Ah well, at least somebody cared about a BlackBerry if only for a few seconds.

U MAD BRO?
To me, this looks just like a nokia phone, maybe the E71? It’s all blocky and awesome looking, none of the bubbly-style that rim has doing for too long.
