Originally scheduled for April 28, Verizon’s LTE outage foiled those plans. Samsung just sent out their APB stating that the droid will in fact be on sale on Verizon’s website tomorrow for $299 with a two year contract. Of course, you will have to purchase the LTE data plan in order to use the phone, but such are the premiums for higher data speeds. Unfortunately the Charge is still stuck in Froyoville and it has a single-core 1Ghz processor in a dual-core world, but a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash are a nice touch. So if you’re planning on leading the Charge (sorry, I had to), the device goes on sale at midnight eastern Saturday May 14, 2011 at http://www.verizonwireless.com.
