HTC Droid Incredible 2 coming to Verizon April 28

The HTC Droid Incredible is considered to be one of the best Android phones ever crafted, being recommended up until recently over newer and better competitors. We can only hope that the Droid Incredible 2 will live up to its predecessor’s legacy. Coming on April 28 for $199 on Verizon with a two year contract, the DI2 won’t feature 4G but it will pack an 8MP dual-led camera and a 1.3MP front facing camera, a four-inch Super LED display, 720p video recording, and (*sigh*) Android 2.2. A 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, better face detection, and better noise cancelling technology team up with SRS WOWHD surround sound and HTC’s Sense UI to please the people who aren’t quite ready to dish out the 4G premium monthly fee but still won’t a solid Android device. Full PR after the break.

  1. My dad has the Incredible, and we both love the thing to death. It’s just all around a great device, and still is zooming around good as new today.

The true successor to the Incredible needs to be as solid of a device as it was. That means a) LTE capable, b) dual-core 1GHz processor or faster, c) an even higher res screen, and d) the same amazing build quality.

As it stands, the Incredible 2 sounds like my Thunderbolt minus LTE and with a smaller screen. I stand not impressed.
