Yes you read that right, dear reader. More downtime. Unfortunately this time it is not by our hand. Our host is moving our server to a brand new and shiny data center in Utah where this site can freely engage in polygamy with other sites on the network. Here’s what our host told us in their email:
[We] will physically move your server (containing the hosting account: friedyoda.com/noisecast) into the new data center between 10 PM, March 8th and 5 AM March 9th (MST), during low traffic periods. We will work to ensure you experience as little downtime as possible and, to that end, we will take the opportunity to perform any needed hardware maintenance or upgrades. We expect the process to take 1 to 3 hours.
So if you try accessing the site between those times and it is down, fear not, for it will be back up shortly thereafter. I also strongly advice our staff not to start typing any articles during those times, unless you plan getting a 404 when you hit save!
