Remember the ridiculously awesome camera with a cellphone – the Nokia PureView 808? The Symbian-running camera with calling feature wowed everyone who tested it – the camera part at least; now The Verge has confirmed Nokia’s plans for the 41MP sensor – it’s coming to the next generation of Lumia Windows Phone handsets.
The new Lumias will not only be sporting the new PureView sensor, but will also sport a completely redesigned look. The reported flagship model, the EOS, will sport an aluminum body marking a departure from the candy-painted plastic bodies that we’ve seen to date. The Guardian has also reported on the rumored handset, providing an expected availability window in the U.S.; you can start looking for the updated Lumia sometime this summer.
