If you’re one of the folks that supported Pebble’s Kickstarter campaign, you’ve been waiting for this bit of news for some time now. Today, Pebble has announced that the first run of Smartwatches are on their way to some customers. The compatible Android app is also going live in the Google Play Store by tomorrow – so if you’re running Android, you’ll be doing some cool things with that new watch. That’s the good news.
The bad news however is that Pebble may have gotten a bit too ambitious in notifying everyone that their Smartwatch was on its way; they’ve only been able to send out 500 units. Some more bad news, the iOS app is still pending approval from Apple. If you were lucky enough to be getting your watch first, you’ll still have to wait until the app is approved before you can access the Smartwatch’s advance features.
