Not sure how we missed this one, but if you’re 18 years of age or older and “have a deep sense of purpose,” you could be one of the first 8 humans to live on Mars. Nope, this isn’t a joke and though I don’t expect it to look anything like (the original) Total Recall; it does sound like a chance to go down in history.
Even more interesting than the destination, the requirements don’t seem to favor the fighter pilots or doctors (pfft, who needs them anyway); instead the requirements take a more abstract spin focusing more on mental stability and the willingness to “build and maintain healthy relationships. It makes sense when you consider that you’ll be spending the next 8 years training just for this mission.
Before you pack your bags you should be aware of one thing; this looks like a one-way trip. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
