Today, Google announced another leap into the hardware market – an e-reader. The iriver Story HD is set to start selling at Target.com on Sunday July 17.
The e-reader will be the first to have the Google e-books platform, the open book source, through which users can buy books, which will be downloaded via Wi-Fi. Also available are the over 3 million free titles in the Google ebooks cache.
The e-ink display toting device is set to retail at $139.99, and has a full QWERTY keyboard. Google has also announced that they’re looking to integrate their ebook outlet into more devices soon.
