Android 3.1 coming to Verizon users today

Verizon customers who own a Xoom tablet will see their devices get a Honeycomb upgrade to Android 3.1 today. Upgrades include support for a Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, improved widgets, a revamped task manager. The USB support is interesting because further development will allow you to import photos and files straight off of USB drives. Furthermore, Android 3.1 will be coming to Google TV in the summer.

  1. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!! Why couldn’t they give a definite release date for the Google TV release? OR just finish the damn software in time for me to go home and download the update to my Sony Google TV Blu-Ray player tonight?!?!?!?! I am disappoint.

    1. There might still be more tomorrow. GoogleTV was announced last year at Google I/O and there’s still one more day. They had two keynotes last year, so maybe they’ll have two again this year.

Either way, though, you’re not getting it tonight, I guess.
