This is what FIFA 2012 will look like

EA Sports’ FIFA franchise has become the end all, be all of fútbol video games, and today, EA would like to remind you of this fact with the first official screen shot. After selling 75 million copies worldwide, if this eye-popping first screenshot is any indication, EA’s looking to do the same if not better.

In terms of gameplay EA Sports is keeping details scarce only offering the following to IGN:

David Rutter, Line Producer for FIFA 12, promised a “revolutionary year for FIFA… especially in the gameplay department.” Rutter wouldn’t expand on what kind of revolution was coming.

If this year’s FIFA is anything like last year’s then we can expect the most realistic interpretation of the beautiful game outside of stepping on the pitch yourself.
