Instead of wedding dresses, food, and cats there will be a lot of music featured. Justin Timberlake, an actor and former pop star is one of the investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MySpace was sold by\u00a0News Corp. in 2011 for $35 million and purchased by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.specificmedia.com\/\">Specific Media<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Myspace&#8217;s new management includes CEO Tim Vanderhook, his COO brother Chris Vanderhook, and minority investor \u00a0Justin Timberlake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The new Myspace\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/50071857?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"313\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be interesting to see how well they fit in the current over saturated social media market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Aimed at a Gen Y audience, Myspace drives social interaction by providing a highly personalized experience around entertainment and connecting people to the music, celebrities, TV, movies, and games that they love. These entertainment experiences are available through multiple platforms, including online, mobile devices, and offline events.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The main business of Specific Media is search engine optimization and advertising . &nbsp;It would not be surprising if that is &nbsp;integrated with their entertainment attempt on social media. &nbsp;Their target audience is Gen Y whose Facebook addiction is well <a href=\"http:\/\/allfacebook.com\/generation-y-likes-facebook-more-than-television_b26403\">documented<\/a>. It will be interesting to see if they are successful in moving their target demographic away from Facebook.
