The Italians have a supercar. The Germans have a supercar. The Americans have a supercar. The Japanese have a supercar. The French? The French want<\/em> to have a supercar, which is where Genty Automobile steps into the picture with the Akylone. Genty is a French start-up out of St. Yorre that wants to go toe-to-toe with the automobile elite of the world. Claiming that their 4.8 liter twin-turbo V8 can crank out more than 1,000 horsepower<\/em> and 940 foot-pounds of torque, the Genty Akylone’s sleek design hints at inspiration from other established brands like Lamborghini and Koenigsegg. The rear-wheel-drive two-seater has a seven speed sequential gear box and along with its 2,425 pound curb weight it supposedly flies from 0 to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds and 9.8 seconds for the quarter mile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
