At least it sure seems that way, in fact it&#8217;s getting to the point where it isn&#8217;t even fun to post these stories any more; this one however, is one brave troll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UltimatePointer, makers of the game changing (believe me there&#8217;s plenty of sarcasm here) UPoint laser pointer, won patent no. 7,746,321 for an &#8220;Easily Deployable Interactive&nbsp;Direct-Pointing System and Presentation Control System and Calibration Method Therefor&#8221; in June of 2010 and has now filed a suit against Nintendo for their Wii Remote, about 4 years after the Wii went on sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the story ended here, it would be yet another non-story patent story but UltimatePointer is reaching for the brass ring of trolling &#8211; their suit not only names Nintendo of Japan and Nintendo of America, but apparently anyone even slightly involved with the Wii. Per the source article, UltimatePointer has named various <strong>retail<\/strong> outlets including QVC and Tiger Direct but does not name Amazon or New Egg.
