I try to recreate “Pjanoo” by Eric Prydz

Did this about 3 months ago but what the hell, it’s still share-worthy: I don’t know how to play piano, but this is my first attempt to recreate a popular song. I’ve been messing around in my “studio” for some time. It isn’t perfect but it’s a start. Hopefully with some practice, practice, practice I can start making my own tunes sometime next year!

It Has Begun

New Winter MixI’m debating whether I should release it by Christmas or after the New Year. November just began, so we have a good month and a half of new house and club music being released. Some of the songs are becoming outdated as I write this.

And then there’s the whole issue of me not having a CD burner. My DVD burner can read and burn DVDs, but it can’t read or burn CDs. I’ve tried everything to fix it, I’ve pretty much been told “get a new burner.” My old CD burner which I replaced with this now broken DVD burner crapped out on me as well when I was making copies of O Porto 2006 for people. If I go out and buy a new DVD burner, I might as well buy the external hard drive I’ve been needing to store my growing music collection. In other words, $200-$300 will be spent. However, my computer is reaching it’s old-age mark of four years this coming March. So spending that kind of cash to fix it just so it can churn out perhaps another year isn’t worth it. Might as well buy a whole new comp this spring for a couple hundred dollars extra.

Tim McGraw and the Walk of Shame

Tim McGraw Sucks There is nothing famous about Tim McGraw’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In recent news , Tim McGraw became the 2,322nd celebrity to earn a star on the Walk. Can this be considered an achievement? McGraw has been crooning country tunes for the past eighteen years, has sold over 33 million albums, and is boning country babe Faith Hill. From this point of view, it is an achievement. Now let’s take an alternate view. McGraw has also acted in movies neither you nor I have ever heard of before (Black Cloud, Friday Night Lights). He’s also done a guest appearance on the Jeff Foxworthy Show in 1995 (redneck sitcoms don’t earn you a Star). Lastly, and perhaps the most embarassing point of all, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen got their Star before McGraw did….a whole two years before (April 29, 2004). Their current lifespan is just shy of McGraw’s entire career. That’s right, Tim. Your Star is not an honor, especially when you share Stardom on the Walk on the same day as Billy Bob Thorton. If the Olsen twins got a Star before you, and you’ve been alive for twice as long as they have, it can only mean one thing: you suck.

O Porto 2006

My newest mix, and very first Greek mix. Two CDs, 26 songs on each one, with the hottest Greek songs of the summer. Both an uncut and a regular version are available. The uncut version is simply the entire CDs as one track…no splits between songs, just smooth and original. The regular version has 26 tracks on each CD. Contact me to get your copy. It is called O Porto because it is dedicated to the O Porto club in Pylos, Greece. It was the club we were VIP at and it played all of these songs each night we were there, but not in this particular order. For my first Greek mix, I think it came out pretty well. It took a week to complete and many CDs were burned until the final product was released. There are covers for each CD including a tracklist on the back. All images on the covers were taken by me AT O Porto. Get your hands on this two-CD set and get ready to dance and sing until the sun rises! This is also available via Streamload/MediaMax, so if you have an account, send me your account ID and I’ll send over the files.

17) Why Worry – Silver

Ok,as i said in the previous post, these are the hottest songs that were playing in bars, clubs, beach bars, radio, and cafes. now for my commentary on this years club music.

This year we see that the Brazil theme is still in style, but we also notice the eastern/oriental invasion. Oriental music, such as indian, is slowly capturing the dance floor (Panjabi MC, Bangra Knights). The kick off with the oriental theme was at Eurovision 2003 when Sertab Erener from turkey won with her global hit, “Every Way That I Can.” The club scene has always been impressed with exotic beats. The brazil theme has been around for years, the kick off with the song “Samba” a few years back. The latin scene has not faded, as we can see La Vania making their debut with Vem Que Da, and oddly, Laurent Wolf’s experimental song “Calinda” was an instant success. The French are keeping it strong this year by contrbuting to most of mainland europe’s club hits. In-Grid has returned with another hit single, after last years single “Tu Es Foutu” topped the charts. What has faded a bit this year is the deep bass voice of the black man. ATFC and Demon Summer seem to be this year’s survivors. Influenced by Barry White, the soothing deep black voice has fueled dance floors with hardcore beats, accompanied by heavy drums and bass. House Music has been the only sanctuary for the black voice this year. What re-appeared this year was the crowd chant. We witness the crowd chant in “E Samba” and “Dark Bea”t.” The crowd chant hadn’t been a hit since “Zombie Nation (Chant Mix)” was released a few years ago. What has remained unchanged: the lack of American artists on the scene. Will it change? no, the world s only interested in popular beats that come from america, like rap and alternative. they need not the american dance scene, considering that all they play in clubs in the U.S. are hits from the rest of the world. Outside of club music, the most overplayed american song in europe this summer was “Rock Your Body” by Justin Timberlake. Last year it was “Hot In Here” by Nelly. The big surprise was that i didn’t hear any “remix to Ignition” by R. Kelly once, considering it was the most overplayed song in the U.S. and the tourist parts of Mexico (cancun, puerto vallarta) for a time. I guess europeans aren’t impressed with child molesters. That was my commentary for the club music scene this summer.

Ok, wow, that actually sounded professional. If you want to download these sons, go ahead. try to make the same mix as me. i don’t care, cause your mix will be nothing like mine, cause i’ve mixed it in the most kick ass way. FX is so fucking amazing. Yeah, and odds are, you WILL NOT be able to donwload all the songs cause there wll be songs that you will not find. If you do find all of them, you are one lucky mother fucker only one WinM user had one of the songs, and he was on 56k. This song was nowhere to be found, not on kazaa, not on the net. searching for this song gave you some playlists and charts, nothing more. but my life was made easier thanks to some DJ friends of mine i met in greece and my boy Johnny G www.johngrammatis.com. Now, if you wanna save yourself the downloads and painful searches, just send me $10 and i’ll send you both CDs. Plus, feel free to donate $$ without buying the CDs, so i can buy some DJ equipment i need and better DJ software. ok, i’ve talked enough. peace.
