Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.
And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all consoles are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day in America, the followers of XBox 360 and the followers of Playstation 3 will be able to sit down together at the couch of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the company of Nintendo, a state sweltering with the heat of inferiority, sweltering with the heat of exercise from Wii Sports, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not own a console of single color but by the content of their games.
I have a dream today!
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once envisioned a nation where consoles would not be segregated by color. A nation where black and white could coexist in harmony on retailer shelves across the country. A nation where black was not the only color being sold and traded by gamers. Microsoft was the first to tear down the walls of color when it launched the XBox 360 Elite. Today, Sony has followed suit by getting FCC approval for a white Playstation 3 to be sold in the United States. This is by far the biggest tribute to Dr. King, even if it comes a day later than his ceremonial day. Microsoft has ended its segregation laws. Sony has ended its segregation laws. What about you, Nintendo? Will you open your mind and your heart and end the immorality of offering your Nintendo Wii in one color? Or shall we call it, Nintendo Wii-cist?
