Saturday Before Halloween and Site Updates

This past Saturday after work I headed downtown my Alex’s apartment cause he said there would be some hot girls there and we were gonna have a small party. I drove home from work, changed, and then drove down to the city. Stavros and Tony met me in the parking lot and we went up. The girls were in Pete’s apartment cause Pete wanted to get them started with the drinking. A few minutes later they came to Alex’s….and said they had to go to Northbrook. I can’t remember if it was four or five girls, but they were dressed as hookers, cops, and cowgirls. They were pretty good looking too. They came all the way down to the city to stay for 10 minutes, and then head back up to Northbrook. How stupid is that? Nonetheless, I was a bit pissed.

After they left we headed down to DePaul and hit up this house party Pete had the hookup at. Stav had called it before we even arrived: a tiny room with 50 people packed inside and the gust of humidity hits you as you walk in from everyone’s body heat. Most of the booze was gone, but someone busted out a 24 pack of Busch Light. Not the best of beers, but beer nonetheless. The party wasn’t amazing or anything. At one point I tell the guys in Greek that it was lame. Some other kid then replies in Greek. Before we knew it, we were on the balcony with ten other Greeks. How crazy is that? Go to a random house party and it ends up being a Greek Mafia gathering!

This couple came out on the balcony and went down the stairs. We began to sing the Greek national anthem and some other Greek songs and soccer chants. Then someone innocently spit over the railing. “WHO THE FUCK JUST SPIT OVER THE RAILING!” shouted the girl from below. Before anyone could answer, she started yelling “ew!” and “oh my God” and “it’s so gross!” Her moral of the evening: don’t go make out or give head under a crowded balcony, cause odds are you will be spit on.

The party began to die down as the hosts started to make people leave. It was all good though. We made new friends, met some girls, and had a good time. On the way back to the car, we encountered lots of other people from different parties. I swear, the hooker costume was the #1 costume at DePaul. Either that or they actually were hookers. We hit up McDonald’s at 3am (where Pete almost got in a fight with some guys trying to act tough in front of their girls) and drove back to Alex’s. On the way, Stav proved that he is deaf and blind, cause he almost ran a red light even though we kept saying “Red Light!” The result was one of the four drinks I was holding spilling on my pants and on the floor, and soaking one of the bags with food. Luckily, it was Tony’s burgers, so I didn’t care. However, it was the Coke that me and Pete were going to fight over, so that left me thirsty. That was our Saturday night out.

I’ve also completed most of the site updates I had planned. I’ve added Last.fm Recently Played Tracks list to the sidebar (click on the Last.fm logo to go to my profile), I’ve removed the videos from the Greece 2006 photo album, and I’ve added a Videos section. All the videos from the Greece 2006 album have been uploaded to my YouTube account, and they can all be accessed from the Videos page. So any future video clips can be found in the Videos section. I’m working on adding a music section like I had on my old site. It will contain every album I’ve made with downloads if the album is a mix.

Tim McGraw and the Walk of Shame

Tim McGraw Sucks There is nothing famous about Tim McGraw’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In recent news , Tim McGraw became the 2,322nd celebrity to earn a star on the Walk. Can this be considered an achievement? McGraw has been crooning country tunes for the past eighteen years, has sold over 33 million albums, and is boning country babe Faith Hill. From this point of view, it is an achievement. Now let’s take an alternate view. McGraw has also acted in movies neither you nor I have ever heard of before (Black Cloud, Friday Night Lights). He’s also done a guest appearance on the Jeff Foxworthy Show in 1995 (redneck sitcoms don’t earn you a Star). Lastly, and perhaps the most embarassing point of all, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen got their Star before McGraw did….a whole two years before (April 29, 2004). Their current lifespan is just shy of McGraw’s entire career. That’s right, Tim. Your Star is not an honor, especially when you share Stardom on the Walk on the same day as Billy Bob Thorton. If the Olsen twins got a Star before you, and you’ve been alive for twice as long as they have, it can only mean one thing: you suck.

Three Down, Two To Go

Midterms, that is. In the past two weeks I've taken three midterms, and I have two more next week. No doubt about it, I've been studying my ass off. I did absolutely nothing last week, except study. I didn't go out, lost touch with my friends, and even took Sunday off of work. Hopefully it will pay off.

Something completely random popped up in my inbox earlier last week. It was an email from the administrator at MBWorld.org , just a general announcement to the public about the site. I hadn't even been to that site since my high school years. The site hasn't changed one bit (except it is much slower cause of the booming number of active users over the years). It was nice going down memory lane, looking at old posts and PMs. Ah, the days long ago when I drove my 1987 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3. I'm still a Benz-boy at heart, but I've lost touch with the community, primarily since I no longer drive one. However, it did bring a smile to my face reading some of the new kill stories (CL63  AMG vs Ferrari F430), or catching up on specs of the newer models. There's also plenty of beautiful pictures of Mercs that are owned by others and are modified. Absolutely gorgeous E63 pictures on there. Now that I think about it, you can actually buy a 1999 E55 AMG with about 70-100k miles for $20,000. That might not be a bad idea…
