All the magazines keep rating Chris Rock as the funniest man in America. They can stop now. Did anyone see Chris Rock: Never Scared on HBO? On the funny meter, this standup comedy was about a 5 out of 10. Why? Because Chris Rock resorted to using swears to bring out laughter. For about 15 minutes he ranted about how it sucks to be married. How did he rant? By saying “pussy,” “blowjob,” and “fuck” more times in 15 minutes than a guy with Tourette’s Syndrome. Don’t get me wrong, his show was still pretty funny, but it wasn’t Chris Rock funny. It lacked the intellect his other stand ups had. The moment he started trying to get laughs out of the word “blowjob,” things fell apart. I think the reason for the lack of intellect was due to the poor timing. Chris released his latest film Head of State last summer, in which he battled the issues of everyday life and politics in it. Not much has changed in the past 10 months, so contentwise, he was stuck. He took a lot of parallels from his mini standups in that movie and revamped them for this standup. Politics and everyday issues are what Chris relies on the most, which is what makes his entire show so great. But after HBO playes Head of State three times a day on 4 of its channels, the jokes get old. So yeah, it was obvious Chris was trying to bail when he tried milking laughs out of swears instead of clever content. I’m gonna go listen to Eddie Murphy Raw, cause that shit is just too funny.

I hven’t done much updating to this site cause i’ve been working on a different site called Fashions by Stavrose. Its a tailoring site themed off of Star Wars Galaxies, an online RPG. Anyway, I decided to get a little more creative with Flash by making an intro and doing a flash banner for the page. Considering this is my second time working with Flash (the first time being the TFC site), I think it came out pretty well. That site is sort of going to be a big operation, because its going to include hundreds of items in the catalog. And making a catalog is not easy. The site design was inspired by the Banana Republic site. You can check out the site and view its progress via the Works In Progress section.

The weather is back to suck levels. Its been cold and rainy. Weather usually reflects my mood, so I’m probably cranky or glum. One more month until school is over, I can’t wait! I only have one final, the other two classes have some sort of essays that are due on the last day. So yeah, all I gotta study for is Calculus. Thats about it, small post today. Duuuuude, its was like awesome weather out this weekend! It had to be at least in the upper 70s, low 80s. It was sooooo nice, i was out a lot this weekend. Too bad Friday and Saturday night it decided to storm outside, but the days were awesome. Chilled by the lake a bit, kicked it with some friends. The usual lazy good weather things. Went to this outdoor BBQ party thing at the Sigma Chi frat next door. It was fun, up to the point where it started raining. I came back home for the rain to die, and when it did after like 30 minutes, I went back. Well, it started storming really hard so we moved it inside. Well, I had enough of indoor parties and gatherings, so I came back here and now I’m gonna go to bed.

But before I go to bed, there is an update! Yes indeed, the Picture Gallery has officially been launched. The entire Greece 2003 gallery is available. Unfortunately, I have to sort out some bugs and stuff with it, as you can tell. I went through the XML code and found no errors, so I’m currently dumbfounded by what can be causing the screwup in the gallery. I’m gonna leave the bugs and errors for now. I’m gonna try to get the other galleries up as well (Greece 2002, Remos Concert, etc). Oh yeah, and for those of you who couldn’t leave comments, thats now been fixed as well (thanks to the super sexeh and beautiful Calleah .

Got word on my summer vacation. Plane tickets to Greece for June 9th. I don’t know when exactly I’m coming back. The current return date is August 22, but I’m planning on coming back to help out at the new restaurant in early to mid July. Sort of a huge bummer, but oh well. At least I’ll get a tan that will last till Christmas

I would like to wish everyone a happy and wonderful Easter, full of love and joy. My mom and dad are coming up to spend Easter with me, and are bringing me lots and lots of food. Mmmmmmm, food . My mom said my aunt and uncle are gonna come along as well, which is pretty cool cause i haven’t seen them since spring break, and they have never been up here before.

This is the first time I’ve spent Easter away from Chicago and the rest of my family. Easter is one of my favorite holidays. On Good Friday and on Saturday we would go to church at night. St. Harry’s to be exact. The place is packed with people, people I haven’t seen in ages, and people I see once a year, and people I see every day. Its like one huge gathering of over 500-1000 people. You get to catch up with old friends, meet new people, hang out with family. And if the weather is nice, its even better for those who have to stand outside the church (since the inside is jam packed).

After the Ressurection on Saturday night, my cousins, friends, and I would form a group of around 20 people and we’d all hit GreekTown and have dinner. And of course, GreekTown on Saturday night, especially the night of the Ressurection is overflowing with people. Everyone is happy, having fun, and enjoying themselves. Its one huge happy event. We’d stuff ourselves with food while having the funnest time at the table. I recal my jaw getting sore from laughing so much on those times. I’d probably get home around 3 or 4 in the morning, and sleep till about noon, where i’d wake up and get ready.

Easter was always at my house, because Greek Easter usually falls around my dad’s birthday (April 24th), except every 4 years or something, when its the same as Catholic Easter (like this year). In the afternoon, we’d have lots of family come over. My mom would cook so much food (my mom’s the best cook in the family), everything from lamb to Easter eggs. People would be at our house until 9pm, when it would finally break up and they’d go home. Ahhh, the good old days. I wish I could go back a year and relive Easter once more, instead of being stuck up here in one of the worst towns in the country (I don’t care if UW Madison is the #1 party school in the nation, this place is friggin BORING!).

Enough of my flashbacks. No updates on the site, except that I fixed the News Archive link so it would take you to the automated archive page, not my generic page. I’m slowly working on the gallery. The Greece 2003 gallery should be up within a week (I’m currently going through all 200 pics in that gallery and making the thumbnails). Again, I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. Peace…

All entries are archived as well, so I don’t have to manually do that. Since the last update, I’ve done nothing but work on the photo gallery and get this news section fixed. Believe it or not, I’m not even close to done with the gallery. Its not the layout and content that is taking me so long. Its going through 500 pictures, resizing them, and then going through again and creating thumbnails for each image. After doing that, I just have to copy and paste 1000 links (500 thumbnail inks, 500 normal image links) into the xml file that I’m using for the gallery. So yeah, lots of boring work for one person.

After finishing the gallery, I’m gonna do the Xanga archive. I’ve compiled all the entries and comments. I just need to create a javascript popup window for each entry that has comments (something Calleah taught me how to do a few days ago ). Speaking of Xanga, I now officially declare this page as an official weblog. So, it is here i will be posting my frequent ramblings, as well as new updates for the site. Yes yes, I am back to fill your lives with disgusting and cruel details of my so called life So yeah, welcome home, Me.

I told you I’d be updating more frequently . I fixed a few bugs in the layout, like broken links and stuff, and made every link a working one. Whether they are complete or incomplete, every link works. I also created and finalized the guestbook, so feel free to add comments there.

Here’s what i have planned for the next update: Finalize the photo gallery, fix the issue with the Completed Sites section, and HOPEFULLY (not for sure cause its a lot of work) get the Xanga Archive up and running. I’m gonna ignore the small things, like the Recommendations section, and finalizing the Contact Me section. Gonna get the big stuff out of the way first. Well, stay tuned.
